Skills to Save Lives

AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings.  Instructor-led, hands-on class format reinforces skills proficiency.   

The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).  The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, o anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting 

The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.  The AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who have a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. Including: childcare workers, teachers, camp counselors, etc .

For healthcare providers, CPR and other instruction can be obtained through in-person classes, and blended Simulation Training, which offers you the opportunity to learn online and complete your hands-on training in a classroom setting.

Our childcare preparation courses allow you to gain new skills and build on the skills you already have. By using interactive modules, real-world scenarios and traditional coursework, our classes will help you:  Provide care for infants and children

​This Pre-Service training program consists of 3 instructor led 8-hour training sessions, totaling the 24 hours of training required for all new teachers by Child Care Licensing. Participants in this online training will explore topics such as child development, developmentally appropriate activities, supervision of children, positive guidance and discipline, health and safety practices, child abuse and neglect, and much more.   New childcare caregivers are required to have a minimum of 8 hours of training before being given responsibility for a group of children and to be counted in the staff/child ratio.  Our pre-service bundle includes all required areas of pre-service training (Texas Minimum Standards 746.1305).
